Chromakopia Cassette
For this project I was tasked with creating two cassette covers of existing albums. The albums were chromakopia by tyler the creator and blanket by kevin abstract. I studied reference images and offical images from the albums and artists in order to best recreate how an offical cassette tape of these albums would look.
Concepts and Roughs
When creating this design a major focus was not only on the colors of the album and album art but on the sound and overall tone of the album. For matching a design based on an album I found it important to take reference from the music itself as well as other hip-hip/r&b based albums like it.
